Set in a mature sloping wooded site between traditional Victorian villas this modern minimalist dwelling is a contemporary take on traditional Scottish architecture. Built from traditional materials used in a contemporary manner, it is sculptural, geometric and crisp, but highly contextual respecting the integrity of the dwellings on either side. Making the most of the wonderful Scottish light was a design priority and the main first floor open plan living area is light airy and expansive, orientated to allow light to flood the space from morning to evening, creating a very special family home.
